MASSAGES

What Are the Therapeutic Benefits of Massage?

Massage works by manipulating soft tissues of the body to relieve pain, reduce stress, calm the mind, and improve overall health. All types of massage improve blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, while also helping to regulate the nervous system. Massage strengthens our Vagus Nerve tone, which helps the body switch from a stressed state to a calm one more quickly, promoting overall well-being.

How Often Should I Get a Massage?

Monthly massages are one of the best things we can do to maintain our health. When you are just starting out (or starting again) with massage, the goal is often to get back to a better, healthier baseline quickly and then make massage a habit to prevent you from going backward. For this reason, our massage therapist may recommend more frequent massages in the beginning, then move to a monthly massage for maintenance.

What Does Massage Help with?

Massage helps with pain, fatigue, mental clarity, posture, fluid buildup, anxiety, stress, depression, emotional overload/exhaustion, and can even help you confront problems better. We can all benefit from healing human touch physically, mentally, and emotionally. The cells of our bodies start communicating better with each other in response to safe, therapeutic touch, opening the door for deep and lasting healing.

Deep Tissue Massage

60 minutes $150  |  90 minutes $190

This full-body massage uses sustained pressure and slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of muscle and connective tissue. Deep tissue massage helps to break-up scar tissue and reduce tension. It may also promote faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation. This massage is the perfect choice for those with stiffness, pain and deep muscle tension.

Drift Away Seaweed-Infused Massage

1 hour 45 minutes $280

This luxurious journey begins with an energizing body brushing treatment to gently exfoliate and smooth skin. A deeply relaxing and skin-softening full body massage follows, using seaweed-infused oils combined with passion fruit, grapefruit, and cypress. Skin is left feeling supple, firm, and glowing. A facial and sinus massage with sea actives smooths the appearance of fine lines and plumps the skin. Your experience is complete with a stimulating scalp massage and illuminating hand treatment.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

60 minutes $160  |  90 minutes $200

This massage targets the lymphatic system, which resides just beneath the skin, and consists of gentle movements to activate the body’s lymph nodes to release toxins and excess fluid. This massage helps reduce swelling, inflammation, and bloating for people whose lymphatic systems are compromised from surgery, illness, injury, or lifestyle. Most people see immediate results and feel a sense of deep relaxation. Fluid drainage can occur 24-48 hours post-massage. Levels of drainage may vary.
