MICRONEEDLING
What Is Microneedling?
Microneedling (also called collagen-induction therapy) is a minimally-invasive treatment that creates tiny wounds in the skin to break up old, damaged collagen and stimulate a healing response that produces new, fresh collagen.
What Does Microneedling Help With?
Microneedling is our go-to treatment for addressing deep scarring, acne marks, skin sagginess, loss of firmness and elasticity, rough skin texture, large pores, lines and wrinkles, skin discoloration, melasma, and even rosacea.
How Long Does It Take to See Results?
The process of making new collagen takes about a month, so it's normal for it to take several weeks to start seeing visible results from a microneedling treatment. Your results can keep improving for 90 days after a single treatment as new collagen matures and gets stronger and old debris gets fully cleared out of the skin. This is also why we recommend doing multiple treatments - the results from one session build on the results from prior sessions for even better outcomes.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Although many clients start seeing results after one treatment, best results usually come after a series of 3-6 treatments. Microneedling can be done on all skin types, but depending on the skin concern we are treating, we may recommend spacing out treatments anywhere from 2-4 weeks apart. You and your Esthetician will go over your skin concerns to determine how many treatments might be best for you.

Frequently Asked Questions about Microneedling
Microneedling is the most corrective treatment we offer and can help with deep lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, acne and acne marks, scarring, melasma and dark spots, rosacea, rough skin texture, the appearance of large pores, and more.
We generally recommend microneedling treatments once per month, but this can change depending on what skin concern we are working to correct.
We use topical numbing for microneedling to minimize any discomfort.
After a microneedling treatment, your skin may be flushed and feel dry or tight for up to 48 hours. It's important to be gentle with it during this time and let it heal. For the first 24 hours post-treatment, you'll need to stay out of direct sunlight, not wear face makeup or non-mineral sunscreen, and not to expose your skin to anything that causes a noticeable rise in body temperature (steam, sauna, hot showers, exercise that makes you sweat, etc.).
This will vary depending on what skin concern we are treating, but usually clients need an average of 3-6 sessions.
Yes! To ensure a smooth treatment and the best results, you should stop using all skincare products with active ingredients (like retinoids, vitamin C, and exfoliants, etc.) and keep your routine gentle and hydrating for 5-7 days prior. You'll also want to closely follow the instructions your esthetician gives you at your appointment so you get the best results with the least amount of downtime possible.
